Child custody cases are often the most difficult cases in divorce practice. The Hawaii Family Court may order child custody investigations to assist the court to collect and marshal the facts and information that the judge needs to make a determination of the custodial arrangement which is in the best interest of the child(ren). The attorney assists the client to work with the child custody evaluator or best interest fact-finders to provide the necessary information in order that the evaluator may produce the report and recommendation to the judge.
