TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDERS

Temporary Restraining Orders

  • Representation of Petitioners
  • Representation of Defendants

Domestic abuse, also referred to as domestic violence, means physical harm, bodily injury, assault or the threat of imminent physical harm, bodily injury, or assault, extreme psychological abuse, coercive control, or malicious property damage between families or household members (Hawaii revised statute 586-4-Temporary Restraining Order). A temporary restraining order may be granted without notice to restrain either/both parties from contacting, threatening, or physically abusing the other party or each other. A hearing is then set to determine whether the Temporary Restraining Order will be extended to an Order For Protection.
